Pharmacy context

COVID-19

Relevant standards

  • 4.1 - The pharmacy services provided are accessible to patients and the public

Why this is notable practice

The pharmacy is using an A-board outside its premises to give people information about queuing and general COVID-19 health advice.

How the pharmacy did this

There was an A-board placed outside the pharmacy on the pavement. It stated that people should wait there to be let into the pharmacy as numbers were limited to two people inside. The A-board also provided information to people about the need to queue two metres apart when waiting outside the pharmacy. And it contained relevant information about COVID-19 through posters displayed on the board.

What difference this made to patients

The pharmacy is using a simple but effective technique to help inform people about the way it is working to keep people safe by following social distancing guidance during the COVID-19 pandemic.
