Waterloo Pharmacy (9012611)

Inspection outcome: Standards met

Last inspection: 13/01/2026

Since January 2025 our inspection reports are more concise and accessible - find out more about the changes

Pharmacy context

The pharmacy is on a high street, adjacent to a busy medical centre near Huddersfield town centre. It dispenses NHS prescriptions and sells a range of over‐the‐counter medicines. Pharmacy team members provide other NHS healthcare services including the Pharmacy First Service, Blood Pressure Check service, and the New Medicine Service. They also provide some private services via patient group direction (PGD) such as a weight loss service. The pharmacy provides medicines to some people in multi-compartment compliance packs to help them take their medicines at the right time. And it delivers medicines to people’s homes if required.

This was a reinspection following an inspection in June 2025 where the pharmacy did not meet Standard 4.3. This inspection focused on the Standard which had previously not been met. Since the last inspection the pharmacy has improved its stock management. Most medicines are stored in original packaging and if not they are suitably labelled.
