Pharmacy context
This pharmacy is located inside a supermarket on a retail park in Southwest Wales. It sells a range of over-the-counter medicines and dispenses NHS and private prescriptions. It offers a range of services including the provision of emergency hormonal contraception and treatment for minor ailments. Substance misuse services are also available.
This was a reinspection following an inspection in July 2024 where the pharmacy did not meet Standards 1.1 and 1.6. This reinspection focused on those Standards which had previously not been met. The pharmacy was able to demonstrate that its team members had completed training records to show that they had read and understood standard operating procedures relevant to their role. And the responsible pharmacist (RP) record was generally properly maintained to show the times during which the RP was responsible for the safe and effective running of the pharmacy.
