Pharmacy context

This pharmacy is situated on an industrial estate near Heathrow. It is on the same site as Pillbox Chemists Ltd head office and the company's central warehouse. The pharmacy operates as a dispensing hub for four other pharmacies owned by Pillbox Chemists Ltd. This was a reinspection following an inspection in August 2025 where the pharmacy did not meet Standards 1.1 and 4.2. This reinspection primarily focused on those Standards which had previously not been met. Since the last inspection the pharmacy was able to demonstrate that it responds to drug alerts and recalls appropriately. However, it still cannot demonstrate that it has risk assessments in place for providing services at a distance.

What do the inspection outcomes mean?

After an inspection each pharmacy receives one overall outcome. This will be either Standards met or Standards not all met

Met The pharmacy has met all the standards for registered pharmacies
Not all met The pharmacy has not met one or more of the standards for registered pharmacies

What does 'pharmacy has not met all standards' mean?

When a pharmacy has not met all standards, they are required to complete an improvement action plan, which you can find via a link at the top left of this page. We monitor progress to check the improvements are made and inspect again after six months to make sure the pharmacy is maintaining these improvements. A new report will then be published.
