Pharmacy context
This community pharmacy is located near a GP practice in a residential area. It mainly dispenses NHS prescription medicines. The pharmacy also provides the NHS Pharmacy First and emergency hormonal contraception services. It supplies medicines in multi-compartment compliance packs to people who need additional support managing their medicines.
This was a desktop inspection following an inspection in August 2024 where the pharmacy did not meet Standard 2.2. This reinspection focused on the Standard which had previously not been met. The pharmacy subsequently met Standard 2.2 because it enrolled pharmacy team members on training courses necessary for their role. The pharmacy owner had introduced a system for monitoring and progressing team members completing their training course.
