Pharmacy context
This is a community pharmacy on a parade of shops in a largely residential area of Westcliff-on-Sea. It provides NHS services such as the New Medicine Service, the Pharmacy First service and the Hypertension Case Finding service. It supplies medicines in multi-compartment compliance packs to people who need this support. And it delivers medicines to some people’s homes. It also provides supervised administration of certain medicines. This was a desktop inspection following an inspection in August 2025 where the pharmacy did not meet Standards 2.2 and 3.2. This reinspection focused on those Standards which had previously not been met. Since the last inspection, the pharmacy has registered its untrained team member onto an accredited training course. And it has cleared the clutter from the consultation room so it was now a suitable environment to provide services.
