The pharmacy does not have an adequate expiry date routine. This could increase the risk of people getting medicine which is past its 'use-by date'. It does not always store medicines in accordance with relevant legislation. This makes it harder to show that they are kept securely.

The staff at the store have been retrained on the SOPs governing the safe storage of controlled drugs.

A strict regime of date expiry checking has been put into place where stock will be checked every month and records kept in line with the date checking SOPs. A complete date check of the store will be completed by 30/11/2024.
