The responsible pharmacist record entries are not made in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Upon inspection, an investigation was undertaken to review the issue raised in terms of a member of staff signing in prior to responsible pharmacist being present.
The purpose of dispensing staff starting to prepare prescriptions is to help the workload within the pharmacy opening hours.
Due to this not following regulatory requirements, the staff now do not sign into the PMR until the responsible pharmacist is present.
This was put into practice with immediate effect.
The company will review how best to deal with current workload pressures going forward.
