The pharmacy has not completed robust risk assessments for all of its services. And it is not able to show that the risks associated with supplying aesthetics treatments are being effectively managed.

The pharmacy management team have conducted a full review of the current risk assessment arrangements, they are establishing where improvements need to be made to existing procedures and also where new assessments need to be added.

The pharmacy management team are reviewing the CPPE risk management programme. All Pharmacy staff will receive extra training on how to assess and identify risk.

Risk assessment templates will be completed for each process identified as an existing risk or a potential risk, that may arise in the future. Intervals at which to review these assessments will be agreed between the regular pharmacists, superintendent pharmacist and pharmacy directors.

Also risk assessment templates will be completed for each medicine and medical device, to identify current risks and future risks that may arise. Intervals at which to review these assessments will be agreed between the regular pharmacists, superintendent pharmacist and pharmacy directors. Any new medicines or medical devices introduced to the Acre Pharmacy platform will be risk assessed prior to being made available to customers and at an agreed regular interval going forward.

Risk assessments for services and products will also be carried out reactively, following any incidents.

There will be a review of all SOP’s conducted and the relevant SOP’s will be updated or created, where appropriate.
