The pharmacy's RP record and private prescription records are not always complete and accurate. This means the pharmacy can not always demonstrate what has happened when supplies are made.

The Responsible Pharmacist on duty will set a reminder every day to ensure they sign on and off.
All staff has been trained to ensure all private prescriptions processed have details of the prescriber, the date it was prescribed and a prescription reference number.
When the private prescription is filed at the end of the day the details are checked against the prescription to ensure it contains all the relevant details and then it gets filed away accordingly.
