4.2 | The pharmacy doesn’t have all the adequate safeguards in place to monitor the supplies of medicines prescribed, particularly from online prescribers. It doesn’t complete regular audits to identify repeat supplies. It doesn’t check whether prescriber’s systems are robust. This may mean some vulnerable people receive medicines that are not suitable for them. |
Audits will be undertaken to ensure that prescribing meetings the guidelines and policies met the clinical guidelines. Dispensed data will be audited to see whether prescribing is appropriate. |
