4.3

The pharmacy does not store and manage all its medicines as it should and in accordance with legal requirements. And it does not manage its waste medicines appropriately.

All medicines subject to safe custody arrangements will be stored in the secure cabinet in accordance with legal requirements. A new cabinet has been ordered as discussed and will be installed safely to support with this.

The waste medicine area will be tidied and kept clear at all times and waste medicines will be kept away from the pharmacy stock items. In the event that waste medicine items are building up, we will contact NHS England to arrange a urgent collection.
