The pharmacy does not manage and store all its medicines as it should. This includes storing its medicines outside of manufacturer's packs inadequately labelled. And the process the team follows for checking expiry dates is not robust.

Remove loose blisters and bottles of stock without expiry dates and batch number at once, doop immediately.

Re visit medipack preparation procedure and cut down on residual stock lying on dispensary shelves without manufacturers box or loose in patient medi pack trays, after
briefing all dispensary staff in a meeting.

Laminate date check sheets for OTC stock and Dispensary stock , get staff to initial section date checked after each visit to shelves and send the photographic evidence to the
manager who subsequently can record it weekly for 12 weeks then on a monthly basis.

Continue with going through with two sops per week to train new staff and remind existing staff of sop contents

Make sure all staff in the pharmacy go
through date checking sops for OTC and Dispensary stock,intial and sign the update, and quizzed in a meeting on the sops
