Medicines are stored appropriately, in alphabetical order. The previous procedure for checking expiries had some flaws so a new procedure has been implemented and an SOP will be created to reflect this. Expiry dates are checked at the point of dispensing every product. All medicines will be kept in original containers. If for any reason, medication is popped from a blister and subsequently not used, it will be stored in an appropriate container and marked with the name, strength, form, batch number, expiry date etc. if the storage conditions allow this. |
