The pharmacy cannot sufficiently demonstrate that it keeps its medicines requiring cold storage within the right temperature range.

Fridge temperature for both dispensary and storage fridges are checked daily and recorded on dedicated logs. All staff have been trained on how to measure current, maximum and minimum temperatures as well as how to reset probes after recording these. Staff have also received refresher training on the actions to be taken where the temperature is outside the recommended range. As a backup to this system a data logger will be used going forward to provide assurance that medication and vaccines have been stored in the correct temperature range for them.
