The pharmacy is not identifying and managing several risks associated with its services. The pharmacy does not hold any of the company's standard operating procedures (SOPs). There is no evidence that the team has read the pharmacy's SOPs.

The branch has been sent a hard copy of the SOP;s in addition to the electronic version held on People HR .
Staff are required to sign on their People HR account when they have read the SOP;s. George and Anna have made this declaration . Harriet will read the SOP;s and sign them off by Friday close of trade .

The pharmacy is not adequately protecting the privacy, dignity and confidentiality of people who receive its services. Confidential information is easily accessible from the consultation room and retail space.

The prescription request box has been replaced with a secure lockable unit .
The consulting room will be kept locked at all times. If there is an occasion when medication is stored there, there will be no breach of GDPR.

The pharmacy does not have enough suitably qualified and skilled staff to provide its services
safely and effectively. The current staffing levels are insufficient to effectively manage the pharmacy's volume of workload.

Harriet will be based at Priors Park three days a week. Her days will be rostered in , so the team can plan the workload more effectively

There is limited evidence that sufficient action has been taken when team members have raised legitimate concerns about the lack of staff or the size of the premises. And they are not provided with opportunities to discuss feedback or concerns due to the lack of regular performance reviews.

A review of the GPhC report was undertaken with George, and the content fully discussed.
The directors are always available to discuss any concerns.
Yearly appraisals will be undertaken before the end of March 2023 10 working days from receipt of the finalised report Peter Badham and our HR department

The pharmacy's premises are not maintained to a level of hygiene appropriate to the services it provides. Some parts of the pharmacy need cleaning or are not being cleaned regularly. This includes the toilet and handwashing facilities.

A cleaning rota has been implemented to ensure this area and the shop floor is kept clean and professional.
Our maintenance man will attend the pharmacy and resolve any outstanding issues.

Pharmacy services are not provided from an environment that is appropriate for the provision of healthcare services. The pharmacy premises do not have enough space to support the pharmacy's current volume of dispensing.

We are in the final stages of negotiation for the unit next door . We hope this will be concluded in the next few days

The pharmacy has no processes in place to ensure the safety of people prescribed higher-risk medicines.

Warfarin , Methotrexate ,Lithium and Valproate prescriptions will have warning stickers put on the prescription . The patient will receive a consultation when the medication is collected and the incident will be recorded on the patient records in the PMR
