Smartcards for all necessary staff will be actioned. Staff informed of using own smartcards and not to use other staff smartcards.

Home deliveries records storage – review and implement appropriate storage and filing system in branch.

Controlled drug records are not always appropriately maintained as per the legal requirements. Some registers have incomplete headers and sometimes entries are made before the medicine is supplied to people.

All registers have been reviewed and headers actioned.
No entries will be made before medicines supplied to patients.
Discussion between Superintendent and team (inc Locums) has taken place

The pharmacy is not maintained to the required level of cleanliness and tidiness appropriate for the pharmacy services provided. General waste is not disposed of in a timely manner which could pose a safety risk.

Actioned immediately after the inspection.

General waste collection issues and in discussion to review contractors for refuse waste & confidential waste collections. To arrange meeting and discuss ongoing issues and how to address and improve collection of rubbish.
