Standard not met Reason Action being taken by the Pharmacy By when Notification By Pharmacy Improvements Made
1.1

The pharmacy does not have risk assessments or a standard operating procedure for the private weight loss and travel vaccination services it provides. This means it may not be able to demonstrate that it has assessed all of the risks and considered how to mitigate these before launching the services. And team members may not have access to written procedures on how to deliver the services safely and effectively.

Risk assessments and SOPS to be implemented for Pharmadoctor weight loss service.
Travel vaccination service will no longer be provided

1.1

There are no training records to show that pharmacy team members have read the standard operating procedures that underpin the services they provide. So they may not be able to demonstrate that they fully understand their role or responsibilities. And there is a risk that they may not be able to provide pharmacy services safely and effectively.

Implement staff register to link all training and competencies relevant to each role.
Register to include:
• Information necessary to comply with employment law
• Induction training
• Mandatory training – safeguarding (level appropriate to role)
• IG/GDPR
• Health and safety
• Infection prevention and control
• SOPs signed relevant to role
• Services and enhanced roles training (if appropriate to role)
• Certificates and proof of competency.
