The pharmacy cannot always demonstrate that it stores and manages medicines, including fridge lines and CDs, appropriately.

Regular CD checks are being undertaken and will be completed regularly moving forwards.

An alert system has been placed on the computer to flag that the fridge temperature needs to be checked and recorded daily.

When drug alerts are received on our email system, we will now print off, action/check the stock, sign and date the alerts and keep them in a folder.

Date checking - the dispensary has been split into sections. Once a section has been date checked, we will sign and date the template record. each section will be checked at least every three months. Stickers are put on any stock going out of date in the next six months.
