The pharmacy doesn’t store all its medicines that must be locked away properly as required by law. And it cannot show that all its medicines it needs to keep in a refrigerator have been stored at the right temperature.

Install an additional cabinet to make sure that medicines, which are not exempt from safe custody requirements, are stored in line with The Misuse of Drugs (Safe Custody) Regulations 1973.

Install suitable refrigerators in the consulting room and the dispensary to ensure medicines that require refrigeration are stored within the appropriate temperature range (between 2 and 8 degrees Celsius). And keep a record of each refrigerator’s temperature range for the days the pharmacy is open.
