Review and update the staffing and capability review following the recent departure of a colleague (16 hours). Recruitment: Raise an advert for a Pharmacy Assistant (PA) (16 hours) Consult with Recruitment Team to review the recruitment strategy of this pharmacy. Explore other options of attracting potential applicants. E.g. Contact local Job Centre. Support from the relief team Review the relief budget and the relief team rota. Review the staffing rota of the pharmacy in the next 4 weeks. Assign a relief colleague to support the pharmacy two days a week. Training: Arrange an experienced pharmacy manager (PM) from a neighbouring pharmacy to support and coach the PM on delivering patient safety huddle and engaging the team. PM to conduct Patient Safety Huddle with all colleagues to share any learning identified from near misses/PSI. Area Operations Manager (AOM) to support and ensure Patient Safety Reports are completed and Patient Safety Huddles are delivered. Assign protected training time for the trainee PA. Monitor the progress of the trainee PA and ensure it is on track as per Buttercups training schedule. Arrange experienced Pas to support the multi-compartment compliance pack training of trainee PA. Workload: AOM to visit the pharmacy to confirm whether any additional support (e.g. out of hours dispensing) is required to ensure their workload is up-to-date. |
