Records are not always accurate and the CD register is not kept on the pharmacy premises.

RP log will revert to paper to ensure there is no confusion with respect to times as is the case with the electronic register.
Ensure accuracy of Electronic Private Prescription register entries henceforth.
CD register will not leave the premises for any reason.

The pharmacy does not appropriately manage and organise its stock medicines including controlled drugs. It does not have a robust date checking procedure and some of its stock medicines are not stored in their original packaging with batch numbers and expiry dates. And the pharmacy does not properly restrict unauthorised access to some of its medicines.

Ensure all ‘loose’ strips are stored in original packaging or labelled containers with batch numbers and expiry dates.
Dates marked on all opened liquids with limited stability.
Date checking procedure to be updated to ensure it is clear what has been checked and when.
Place counter back in its original pre-covid position to restrict access.
