The pharmacy does not have enough staff to manage the current workload. This means that pharmacy team members are working under increased pressure and that services are not being delivered as effectively as they could be.

Review of current labour schedule and skill mix including long term sickness.

Drive recruitment of resident pharmacist. In the meantime work with rota to book regular locums.

Plan additional shifts to catch up catch up on dispensary workload

Ongoing review of workload vs colleague hours to maintain standards.
Services-further support with remote NMS to reduce workload.

Extra support from Regional Manager/regional relief.

The dispensary is cluttered and unorganised which increases the risk of mistakes.

Organise additional support to clean/tidy/date check dispensary.

Reorganise stock/reduce stock to create some space.

Work with purchasing to reduce bulk ordering/head office stock.

Review storage of appropriate items (dressings, tote boxes etc) which can stored in non-registered premises.
