Baden House Pharmacy (1030077) - Improvement action plan

The pharmacy does not maintain a running balance for all of the controlled drugs it holds. And it does not always investigate discrepancies that are identified. This does not meet best practise guidance and means that a full audit trail is not available for some controlled drugs.

The Responsible Pharmacist to do cd stock checks after each supply or receipt as per our SOPS. Also, weekly stock checks to be done.
If there is any discrepancy, then to first attempt to resolve before reporting to the superintendent pharmacist.
The Superintendent pharmacist to fully investigate any discrepancies within seven working days and to report to the CD accountable officer if required.
