Inspection outcome: Standards met
Last inspection: 09/01/2025
Pharmacy context
This is a private pharmacy situated in Whitefield, Manchester. It provides face-to-face services for travel health, erectile dysfunction, weight loss and a phlebotomy service. It also sells medicines at a distance using a third-party retailer. Blood test kits are also sold via the pharmacy’s website. The pharmacy has two websites: https://thechemistonline.co.uk and https://thechemistlive.com for people to access its services and information.
This was a reinspection of the pharmacy following an inspection in September 2024 where the pharmacy was found to be not meeting standard 1.1 but was meeting the other standards. This reinspection focused on the standard which had previously not been met. The pharmacy previously was not always following its policies when medicines were being sold via a third-party sales platform. However, since the last inspection a number of new measures had been implemented including identification checks for all online sales and setting maximum limits on some medicines which had the potential to be abused or misused.
