Pharmacy context
Well is a health centre pharmacy located in a southern suburb of Swansea. NHS dispensing is the main activity and the pharmacy typically dispenses around 9,000 items per month, including medicines supplied in monitored dosage system (MDS) trays for approximately 15 patients. The pharmacy provides advanced services (MURs and DMRs) and enhanced services (smoking cessation level two (supply only), seasonal influenza vaccination and the provision of MAR charts for two patients). It also provides private influenza vaccination under a patient group direction (PGD).
A collection and delivery service is offered to all patients and the pharmacy provides blood pressure measurement on request. It has two substance misuse clients. The pharmacy does not open at weekends.
