Pharmacy context

Well is a supermarket pharmacy located in a large semi-rural village. NHS dispensing is the main activity and the pharmacy typically dispenses around 5,000 items per month, including medicines supplied in monitored dosage system (MDS) trays for approximately 20 patients. The pharmacy provides advanced services (MURs and DMRs) and some enhanced services (the Choose Pharmacy common ailments scheme, the All-Wales EHC service, smoking cessation levels two (supply only) and three (supply and monitoring), the Emergency Supply of Prescribed Medicines service, seasonal influenza vaccination and the provision of MAR charts to three patients). It also provides a private influenza vaccination service under a patient group direction (PGD)
A prescription collection service is offered to all patients and a delivery service is provided to some of these patients. The pharmacy offers blood pressure monitoring on request. It has no substance misuse clients.
The pharmacy is open from Monday to Saturday between 08.30 and 19.00 and on Sundays between 10.00 and 16.00.
