Pharmacy context
This is a community pharmacy in the town of Lochmaben in Dumfries and Galloway. Its main activity is dispensing NHS prescriptions and providing some people with their medicines in multi-compartment compliance packs to help them take their medicines effectively. It provides a range of NHS services including NHS Pharmacy First.
This was a full reinspection following an inspection in August 2024 where the pharmacy did not meet Standards 1.6, 2.1 and 3.1. The pharmacy has made considerable improvements following the previous inspection to address the Standards that were not met. This includes maintaining accurate records of its higher risk medicines, addressing staffing issues with newly employed team members, and ensuring the pharmacy is tidy and clutter free with health and safety issues addressed.
