Pharmacy context
This pharmacy is located on an industrial estate in the city of Colchester in Essex. The majority of its services are the dispensing and delivery of NHS prescriptions and multi-compartment compliance packs to people in the Essex area.
This was a reinspection following an inspection in August 2024 where the pharmacy did not meet Standards 1.2,1.5,1.6,2.2,3.1 & 4.3. This reinspection focused on those Standards which had previously not been met. The pharmacy is now regularly recording near misses and dispensing errors, has appropriate insurance arrangements in place and is largely keeping the records it needs to by law. It has also made sure all team members required to be on training courses have been enrolled, removed obstructions blocking its fire exit, tidied up the pharmacy shelves, and safely disposed of a large amount of waste medicines.
