Wainscott Pharmacy (1091080)

Inspection outcome: Standards met

Last inspection: 09/02/2026

Since January 2025 our inspection reports are more concise and accessible - find out more about the changes

Pharmacy context

This is a community pharmacy next to a GP surgery in a largely residential area of Rochester. It provides NHS services such as the New Medicine Service, the Pharmacy First service and the Hypertension Case Finding Service. It provides a flu vaccination service using patient group directions. And it delivers medicines to some people’s homes. This was a reinspection of the pharmacy following an inspection in December 2025 where the pharmacy was found to be not meeting Standard 4.3 but was meeting the other Standards. The reinspection focused on the Standard which had previously not been met. Following the last inspection, the pharmacy had implemented a more reliable expiry date checking process, and this activity was now recorded. The pharmacy had previously not been able to demonstrate that all its medicines requiring refrigeration were being stored appropriately. It now checks the fridge temperatures regularly and records showed that these medicines were being stored at appropriate temperatures.
