Pharmacy context
This community pharmacy is situated in the village of Hampton-in-Arden, West Midlands. Its main activity is supplying medicines to people against NHS prescriptions. It provides a range of services including the Pharmacy First service, seasonal flu vaccinations, travel vaccinations, Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring service and the contraception service. And it supplies medicines in multi-compartment compliance packs to a handful of people who need assistance in managing their medicines safely. The pharmacy also offers private face-to-face weight management and menopause prescribing service.
This was a reinspection following an inspection in June 2025 where the pharmacy did not meet Standards 1.1, 1.3, 1.6, 3.1, 3.3, 4.2 and 4.3. This reinspection focused on those Standards which had previously not been met and on core Standards which are related to patient safety. Since the last inspection, the pharmacy has made reasonable adjustments in its retail area to create more space for safe working. It has improved the visibility of its record keeping and its team members have completed appropriate training to understand their roles and responsibilities. And it has cleared its pharmaceutical waste in line with requirements.
