Pharmacy context
This pharmacy is located on a business park in Chester. It operates an NHS internet pharmacy and there is no physical access for patients or the public. The core function of the pharmacy is the provision of medicines, dispensed for named patients, for institutions predominantly registered by other UK regulators. These are typically independent mental health hospitals but also other organisations including ophthalmic hospitals and social care services. Most medicines are dispensed in conventional containers, but also a significant number were supplied in compliance packs. The pharmacy also provides the NHS New Medicine Service (NMS).
This was the first routine inspection of the pharmacy since it relocated from nearby premises in October 2024.
