Pharmacy context
Pharmacy located within a parade of shops dispensing around 5000 NHS prescription items monthly. The pharmacy supplied monitored dosage system (MDS) trays to around 41 patients. The pharmacy offers the following services: MURs, NMS, needle exchange, blood pressure and blood sugar testing and a minor ailments scheme. The pharmacy offered supervised consumption services for around 12 patients. In addition the pharmacy offered a collection and delivery service.
At the time of the inspection there was the responsible pharmacist (relief pharmacist), one NVQ level 2 dispensing assistant, one trainee NVQ level 2 dispensing assistant (manager) and one NVQ level 2 medicine counter assistant present.

What do the summary findings for each principle mean?
The standards for registered pharmacies are made up of five principles. The pharmacy will also receive one of four possible findings for each of these principles. These are:
