It does not have documented risk assessments, prescribing policies, or operating procedures,so it can demonstrate that it supplies medicines safely. And it does not keep appropriate records or supply medicines in accordance with the law. This could present a risk to people’s health.

The pharmacy has enough staff to manage the workload. But some of its team members are not suitably qualified for their roles, and they do not always work under the supervision of a pharmacist. In addition, the pharmacy does not effectively support team members to communicate easily with each other, which makes it harder from them to discuss concerns or help the pharmacy make improvements.

It does not provide people with enough information about their medicines to make sure they understand the risks. or have a process for follow up and monitoring if people experience adverse effects.

What does 'pharmacy has not met all standards' mean?

When a pharmacy has not met all standards, they are required to complete an improvement action plan, which you can find via a link at the top left of this page. We monitor progress to check the improvements are made and inspect again after six months to make sure the pharmacy is maintaining these improvements. A new report will then be published.
