Pharmacy context
This was a high street pharmacy in a medium sized town. It dispensed 8,000 items per month, mostly RPCS and walk-in items from Blantyre and Burnbank Health centres. There were some 20 substance misuse patients and 30 patients receiving the Community Dispensing Service (CDS). Other services offered included eMAS, CMS (400 signed up but no serial prescriptions), smoking cessation, EHC, Gluten Free, Blood Pressure and Blood Glucose monitoring.
