Pharmacy context
This is a community pharmacy located on the main shopping street in Southsea. The pharmacy is open Monday to Friday 9am – 6pm and Saturdays 9am -1pm, providing mainly an NHS dispensing service (approximately 5,000 items per month) including about 60 community DDS patients. The pharmacy also provide OTC medicines and advice, MUR’s , NMS, collection and delivery service . In addition the pharmacy is a Healthy Living Pharmacy and provides the following services – needle exchange, substance misuse services, EHC , smoking cessation ,alcohol awareness, weight management, blood pressure monitoring and a flu vaccination service during the season. In addition the pharmacy participates in the local “Pharmacy first” minor ailment scheme. The pharmacy is an accredited Healthy Living Pharmacy.
