Last inspection: 13/07/2026
Since January 2025 our inspection reports are more concise and accessible - find out more about the changes
Pharmacy context
This pharmacy is located adjacent to a GP surgery in a residential suburb of Darlington town centre. It dispenses NHS prescriptions and sells a range of over‐the‐counter medicines. Pharmacy team members provide other NHS healthcare services including the Pharmacy First Service and the New Medicine Service. They also provide seasonal Covid-19 vaccinations. The pharmacy provides medicines to some people in multi-compartment compliance packs to help them take their medicines at the right time. And it delivers medicines to people’s homes when required. This was a desktop reinspection following an inspection in June 2026 where the pharmacy did not meet Standards 2.2 and 4.3. This reinspection focused on those Standards which had previously not been met. Since the inspection, the pharmacy have provided evidence that the affected team members have been enrolled on relevant accredited training courses. And that temperatures in the pharmacy's fridges are being properly monitored and recorded each day.
