Pharmacy context
An independent 100 hour community pharmacy located in a local parade of shops towards to the outskirts of town. The main emphasis of the service is dispensing and the pharmacy processes approximately 10000-12000 NHS items per month.
Services in addition to essential NHS dispensing service include:
Retail sales of medicines
Dispensing of private prescriptions
Repeat prescription management and collection
Medications Use Reviews(MURs) & New Medicines Service(NMS)
Community dosage systems(CDS)
Home deliveries
Seasonal flu vaccinations
Supervised consumption
Needle exchange
Travel services – malaria prevention & ACWY vaccinations
Non-pharmacy services offered on site: osteopathy and podiatry.
Opening hours: 8am -10pm Mon-Thurs (midnight Fri & Sat) & 8am -10pm Sun.

What do the summary findings for each principle mean?
The standards for registered pharmacies are made up of five principles. The pharmacy will also receive one of four possible findings for each of these principles. These are:
