Pharmacy context

This pharmacy is located in a business centre unit on the outskirts of Cardiff. It is associated with Numan, a CQC-registered online prescribing service owned by Vir Health Ltd. The pharmacy's only service is dispensing private prescriptions for adults aged 18 and over which are written by prescribers employed by the prescribing service. The pharmacy mostly supplies prescription medicines for weight loss, but also supplies medicines for erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, hair loss and low testosterone levels. People do not visit the pharmacy in person and medicines are sent by post or courier.

This was a full routine inspection of the pharmacy. The pharmacy was last inspected in September 2023 and all standards were met.

What do the inspection outcomes mean?

After an inspection each pharmacy receives one overall outcome. This will be either Standards met or Standards not all met

Met The pharmacy has met all the standards for registered pharmacies
Not all met The pharmacy has not met one or more of the standards for registered pharmacies

What does 'pharmacy has not met all standards' mean?

When a pharmacy has not met all standards, they are required to complete an improvement action plan, which you can find via a link at the top left of this page. We monitor progress to check the improvements are made and inspect again after six months to make sure the pharmacy is maintaining these improvements. A new report will then be published.
