Pharmacy context

This pharmacy is located in an industrial estate in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire. It is not open to the public. Its sole activity is to dispense NHS prescriptions on behalf of the company’s community pharmacy, Peartree Pharmacy. Dispensed prescriptions are sent back to the pharmacy for people to collect them.
This was a reinspection following an inspection in January 2025 where the pharmacy did not meet Standards 1.1, 1.3, 1.6, 1.7 and 4.4. This reinspection focused on those Standards which had previously not been met. Since the last inspection, team members have read standard operating procedures (SOPs) relevant to their roles and these are available in the pharmacy for team members to refer to, to help them work safely. The pharmacy has also implemented and maintained a responsible pharmacist record. And it now manages people’s confidential information appropriately. Drug safety alerts and recalls are received by the pharmacy and actioned as required, to help ensure the medicines it supplies are suitable for use.
