Pharmacy context
The pharmacy is on the outskirts of Knutsford in Cheshire. It is within the offices and warehouse of its parent company, Mesoestetic. It dispenses private prescriptions for aesthetic products and associated medicines. And it provides a private pharmacist-led weight management service using patient group directions. People access its weight loss services through the website www.mesopharmacy.co.uk. And they have a video consultation with the pharmacist before treatment is provided. People do not access the pharmacy premises directly.
This was a reinspection following an inspection in July 2025 where the pharmacy did not meet Standards 1.1,1.2 and 4.2. This reinspection mostly focused on those Standards which had previously not been met. Since the previous inspection the pharmacy has updated its risk assessments. It has an audit schedule and has collected some data. It regularly records interventions to support audit processes. The team has access to treatment protocols to support them in the completion of the clinical check of prescriptions for aesthetics products. And most prescriptions now include directions for use. But the pharmacy has not effectively resolved the issue of dispensing electronic private prescriptions which are not legally valid.

What do the inspection outcomes mean?
After an inspection each pharmacy receives one overall outcome. This will be either Standards met or Standards not all met
| The pharmacy has met all the standards for registered pharmacies | |
| The pharmacy has not met one or more of the standards for registered pharmacies |
What does 'pharmacy has not met all standards' mean?
When a pharmacy has not met all standards, they are required to complete an improvement action plan, which you can find via a link at the top left of this page. We monitor progress to check the improvements are made and inspect again after six months to make sure the pharmacy is maintaining these improvements. A new report will then be published.
