Pharmacy context
The pharmacy is on the High Street in Harpenden. It dispenses NHS and private prescriptions, gives health advice and sells over‐ the‐counter medicines. The pharmacy supplies medicines in multi-compartment compliance packs to people who find it difficult to take their medicines at the right time. Services include blood pressure case-finding, Pharmacy First, NHS 111 referrals, earwax removal, substance misuse and palliative care. This was the first routine inspection since the pharmacy had re-located from nearby premises into its present premises in November 2024.
