Pharmacy context
This community pharmacy is situated next to a GP surgery in Wednesbury town centre. The pharmacy dispenses NHS prescriptions, private prescriptions and sells over‐the counter medicines. It also provides a range of services including a local minor ailments scheme, the NHS Pharmacy First service and blood pressure testing. The pharmacy supplies medicines in multi‐compartment compliance packs to some people to help them take their medicines at the right time. This was a desktop inspection following an inspection in April 2026 where the pharmacy did not meet Standards 2.2 and 4.3. This reinspection focused on those Standards which had previously not been met. Pharmacy team members are suitably trained for the roles in which they are working, or are undertaking appropriate training. And the pharmacy has made improvements to the way in which it stores and monitors medicines which require refrigeration.
