Jubilee Pharmacy (1087863) - Improvement action plan

Standard not met Reason Action being taken by the Pharmacy By when Notification By Pharmacy Improvements Made
2.2

Pharmacy team members are not always suitably trained for the roles in which they are working. This means that they may not always be able to demonstrate that they have the appropriate knowledge and skills for the tasks that they are completing.

The staff member in question has now been enrolled on the NPA’s Accredited Dispensary Assistants course. The course should hopefully be completed in the next 6-12 months.

4.3

The pharmacy is unable to reliably monitor the temperatures of all its refrigerators, and its temperature records are incomplete. As a result, it cannot consistently demonstrate that temperature‑sensitive medicines have been stored appropriately or are suitable for supply.

New fridge thermometers purchased from EMT healthcare, which are able to accurately record Max/Min temperatures. PMR system amended to ensure fridge temperatures are recorded twice daily.
