Pharmacy context
This pharmacy is located on a busy high street in Dalston. In addition to providing NHS dispensing services, the pharmacy provides the Hypertension Case Finding Service, the Pharmacy First service, the Contraception service and the New Medicine Service (NMS). It supplies medicines in multi-compartment compliance packs to a number of people to help them take their medicines safely and delivers medicines to some patients. The pharmacy also offers a malaria prophylaxis service via a Patient Group Direction (PGD). It previously offered a range of over-the-counter medicines for sale via its website and worked with a third-party online prescribing service.
This was a desktop reinspection following an inspection in June 2025 where the pharmacy did not meet Standards 1.1 and 3.4. This reinspection focused on those Standards which had previously not been met. Since the inspection the pharmacy has removed services of a third party presciber from its website and fitted a secure door to prevent unauthorised access to restricted areas.
