Inspection outcome: Standards met
Last inspection: 01/09/2025
Since January 2025 our inspection reports are more concise and accessible - find out more about the changes
Pharmacy context
This community pharmacy is located within the site of Herts & Essex Hospital. It dispenses NHS and private prescriptions. And it sells medicines over the counter. The pharmacy dispenses medicines into multi-pack compliance packs for some people to help them take their medicines safely. It offers some NHS services such as Pharmacy First and a seasonal flu vaccination service. And the pharmacy provides a prescription delivery service to people who cannot get to the pharmacy.
This was a reinspection following an inspection in June 2025 where the pharmacy did not meet Standards 1.1, 2.2 and 4.3. This reinspection focused on those standards which had previously not been met. Since the last inspection, the pharmacy is now using current standard operating procedures (SOPs) to work safely and effectively. And relevant SOPs have been read by team members. Pharmacy team members have now been enrolled on accredited training courses relevant to their roles. And the pharmacy ensures medicines requiring cold storage and stored appropriately and at the required temperatures.
