Pharmacy context
This is a community pharmacy located within Hexham General Hospital. It dispenses NHS prescriptions and sells a range of over‐the‐counter medicines. The pharmacy also provides medicines to some people in multi‐compartment compliance packs to help them take their medicines properly. And it provides medicines to people living in local care homes. The pharmacist conducts private medicated weight management consultations. This was a reinspection following an inspection in January 2026 where the pharmacy did not meet Standard 1.6. This reinspection focused on the Standard which had previously not been met. Following the last inspection, the pharmacy now maintains appropriate records when supplying people with medicines via a patient group direction (PGD).
