Pharmacy context
This pharmacy is situated alongside other local shops in a residential area of Slough. It is one of 28 pharmacies as part of an independent group of pharmacies. It dispenses NHS prescriptions and provides a range of other NHS services including the Pharmacy First Service, the Hypertension Case Finding service, the contraception service, the New Medicines Service and supervised consumption. The pharmacy offers a private travel and weight loss clinic. It also offers a face-to-face prescribing service, but only a relatively small number of prescriptions are issued. And it prepares multi-compartment compliance packs for people needing help taking their medicines and delivers medicines to some people. This was a reinspection following an inspection in August 2025 where the pharmacy did not meet Standard 1.6. This reinspection focused on that Standard which had previously not been met. Following the previous inspection, the pharmacy has implemented consultation records for its prescribing service and has improved the completeness of consultation records for medicines supplied under PGDs.
