Pharmacy context
The community pharmacy is located on a parade of shops on a busy main road towards the outskirts of town. Its main activity is dispensing NHS prescriptions. The pharmacy supplies medicines for people living in care homes and it provides some medicines in multi-compartment compliance packs to help people take their medicines at the right time. The pharmacy provides a range of other NHS services including blood pressure testing, Pharmacy First, and a contraceptive service. It also offers private services such as travel vaccinations. Team members regularly provide healthcare advice and sell over‐the‐counter medicines.
This was a full routine inspection of the pharmacy. The pharmacy was last inspected in December 2015.

What do the inspection outcomes mean?
After an inspection each pharmacy receives one overall outcome. This will be either Standards met or Standards not all met

What does 'pharmacy has not met all standards' mean?
When a pharmacy has not met all standards, they are required to complete an improvement action plan, which you can find via a link at the top left of this page. We monitor progress to check the improvements are made and inspect again after six months to make sure the pharmacy is maintaining these improvements. A new report will then be published.
