Pharmacy context
This extended hour pharmacy is located on a busy main road Derby. Its main activity is dispensing prescriptions, and it offers some services such as the supervised consumption of medicines and the New Medicine Service. A medicine delivery service is available, and the pharmacy supplies some people with medicines in multi-compartment compliance packs to help them take their medicines. It also provides a private ear wax removal service.
This was a reinspection following an inspection in February 2025 where the pharmacy did not meet Standards 1.1, 4.2 and 4.3. This reinspection focused on those Standards which had previously not been met. Standard 1.6 was also reviewed. Since the last inspection, the pharmacy has ceased selling medicines online via its website https://www.your247chemist.com/, and there are no plans to reinstate this in the immediate future. As a result, the pharmacy is now meeting standards 1.1 and 4.2 which related to its online services. However, the pharmacy had not sustained the actions initially taken to improve the management of its stock medicines. And it had fallen behind on some of the required record keeping.
